Alphadi," The Magician of the Desert ", is one of the Africandesigners the most known in the world.

Nativeof Mali, raised in Niger, he was trained at Atelier Chardon Savard inParis and was knighted by the biggest designers: Yves Saint-Laurent,Christian Lacroix, Paco Rabanne who helped him to make his firststeps into the Fashion Haute Couture and to reach an internationalfame. The originality of its style is base on the alliance between ancestrals know-how of the ethnic groups of Sahel and design inspiredby the western world. In his mind, the Tuareg spirit, Songhai,Bororo, Hausa, Fulani, Bambara, Arab and Massai revisits the westerntrends. Paying tribute in the beauty of the woman and the man, creations of Alphadi reflect the cultural diversity because they gobeyond borders. He expresses his art since Niamey, Casablanca, Parisand New York.

In 2004 he presented his Haute Couture collection in Paris at PalaisGalliera with bustiers in silver plates engraved by Tuareg craftsmen,coats bogolan...

In 1998, Alphadi created the International Festival of the Fashion inAfrica - FIMA, supported by the UNESCO and the OIF, in the desert ofTiguidit, in Niger. 

Afterreceiving distinctions by Niger, France and the United States, in2016, Alphadi is named by UNESCO as "Artist for Peace"
